A very popular tourist destination, the splendid town of Sirmione rises on a wonderful peninsula that divides the southern part of Lake Garda, rich in attractions for both international and Italian tourists.

An equally interesting activity is exploring the various wineries scattered throughout the territory, some of which are particularly charming due to their unique locations. In these places, wines are crafted artisanally with skilled techniques passed down through years of experience, taking full advantage of a territory rich in viticultural tradition. Let's discover together the wineries of Sirmione, perfect for purchasing Italian excellence or giving as gifts.

Cà dei Frati

In the Lugana district of Sirmione, there is a very old winery founded in 1939 by Felice Dal Cero, who, after moving to the estate, started a true family business that has been excellently carried on today by the family of his late son Pietro. Today, Cà dei Frati covers more than 11 hectares where various types of wines are produced, initially in Lugana di Sirmione and around the Tower of San Martino della Battaglia, and later also in Valpolicella on the Pian di Castagnè. The artisanal production method involves processing the grapes separately to preserve their authenticity. Among the wines produced, we find options for every occasion: Frati, Rosa dei Frati, Brolettino, Pratto, Ronchedone, Pietro Dal Cero, Tre Filer, and Cuvée dei Frati. For more discerning palates, there are also premium grappas.

Cà Lojera

Located in Rovizza di Sirmione, the Tiraboschi family cultivates 20 hectares of expansive flat terrain, producing about 160,000 bottles annually. In their wide selection of wines, standout varieties include: Merlot Monte della Guardia, Lugana Riserva Doc del Lupo, Lugana Doc, Lugana Superiore Doc, Saigné Spumante, Rosato Monte della Guardia, Cabernet Monte della Guardia, Ravel, Chardonnay, and Tur Blanc.

Cascina Maddalena

This family-run business is fully dedicated to the world of wine, offering not only tastings but also event organization and traditional dishes to enjoy in the stunning landscape of Lugana di Sirmione. The dedicated staff uses only artisanal methods, ensuring the purity and perfection of the wine flavors. This winery offers several specialties: Gruccione, Sant'Onorata, and Sassirto.

Azienda Agricola Sgreva

Located in Lugana di Sirmione, this agricultural company dates back to 1960, founded by the first generation. Today, it is run by Vanessa and Giacomo, who work alongside their mother to produce the region's finest products. The shores of Lake Garda provide the perfect habitat for wine cultivation: Sirmio, Eufrasia, Liber, Desiderio, Perlage, Rosabèl, Etereo, and Suono di Gong. Their Ambrosia and Olympia grappas are also a must-try. The evocative names perfectly reflect the charm of the territory, and guided tours of the winery offer a wonderful experience.

Pasetto Emilio

Founded in 1977, the Pasetto Emilio agricultural company rightfully earns its place in our guide. At the Cascina Albarone in Sirmione, they produce some of the region's most famous wines. Visitors can enjoy guided tours and immerse themselves in nature. Notable wines include: Lugana Cascina Albarone, Lugana I Calmi, Albarone Rosato, Marzemino, and Albarone Rosso.

Azienda Agricola Don Lorenzo della Grillaia

Located in Mussolina, this relatively young company has been active since 2007 but has already gained significant recognition thanks to the expertise of its viticulturists. Spanning 40 hectares between Sirmione, Pozzolengo, and Peschiera, the company cultivates both ancient and new vineyards. Their specialties include Lugana Doc and Garda Doc Merlot.

Corte Anna

Corte Anna manages 12 hectares using traditional methods that preserve the environment's biodiversity and focus on the authenticity of their products. Every production phase is manually executed to highlight the qualities of their grapes, resulting in various wines each year: Garda Cabernet, Lugana Doc, and Lugana Superiore.
What customers say
