A peninsula rich in history
Sirmione's fame dates back to antiquity thanks to famous writers such as Catullus and Goethe who celebrated its uniqueness and beauty.
Its name originates from the Latin word "syrma", meaning tail, precisely because of its long, slender shape that plunges into Lake Garda for 4 km.
But the beauty of its landscapes is what has enchanted poets and tourists in ancient and modern times.
In this trip around the peninsula we will explore all the wonders it has to offer, stage by stage, starting from the Sirmione Thermal Baths, which have made the place internationally renowned.

We have to point out that unfortunately the renovation works of the Scaligero Castle bridge, and the current low water condition of Lake Garda, do not allow the passage from under the Castle bridges, and the view of its Darsena. Sorry about that!
